How To Kill A Beast!

A Beast

“Sin is the MONSTER we love to deny.

The original paperback cover of The Oath

It can stalk us, bite a slice out of our lives, return again and bite again, and even as we bleed and hobble, we prefer to believe nothing has happened. That makes sin the perfect monster, a maneather that blinds and numbs its victims, convincing them that nothing is wrong and there is no need to flee, and then consumes them at its leisure.

We’ve all been assailed by this beast, sometimes face-to-face, but all to often from a direction we aren’t prepared to defend, and it’s only in recognizing the beast for what it is that we can hope to escape at all. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven and empowered to overcome sin, but opening the door and tossing the beast kitchen scraps of our character is no way to drive it off. Toying with an animal that is actually toying with us is a sure way to lose part of ourselves.

I was watching it happen to some friends of mine the year I began writing The Oath. As the rest of us just kept on praising the Lord, loving one another, smiling, and trying not to be judgmental, some really good people walked stupidly, blindly into the jaws of sin. The tooth marks still show today, in ruined marriages and soiled ministries. The rest of us should have said something.”1,2

— “The Oath” By Frank E. Peretti

Abortion Is A Beast Among Us

“Because from inside, from the heart of men, come evil thoughts and unclean pleasures.” — (Mark 7:21, Bible in Basic English)

Evil Lurks

Abortion is an ancient sin. The product of a long forgotten luciferian oath. Like the fictitious residents of Frank Peretti’s Hyde River, America also has a hidden sin and a deadly secret. Just like something sinister was at work in Hyde River, an imaginary and isolated mining town in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, so is something evil at work in America today. Under the cover of darkness, abortion, like a blood thirsty beast strikes thousands of times a day, every day, taking life in the most chilling and savage fashion imaginable. Like the compromised community of Hyde River watched in terror as her residents suddenly vanished, so America, privately wondering “who will be next”, idly watches as women, children and whole families are eaten alive by abortion. Yet the more America is pressed for information, the more she seems to close ranks, almost as if she has been sworn to secrecy. Nevertheless, like Hyde River, when America’s secrets are exposed, the true extent of the danger will be revealed. And in my opinion, what America will discover is something far more deadly than anything she has ever imagined.

How To Kill A Beast!

“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army” — (Revelation 19:19, KJV)

Conviction Notice

After 38 years of failed strategies, could it be true that America, like Steve Benson, Peretti’s fictional wildlife biologist, has fallen in love with the beast in the mirror? Could be it that America no longer has ears to hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the men and women suffering from the guilt and shame of abortion? Could it be that America no longer has eyes to see beyond the needs of a hedonistic lifestyle that religiously and narcissistically serves self? Could it be that after the lost lives of over 53 million aborted babies, America no longer has a strategy to kill the beast and end abortion? Could it be that America no longer has the moral conviction to kill the beast that doesn’t just stalk its victims, but has the power to turn hearts black with decay as it slowly fills their souls with darkness? Could it really be that America has taken “The Oath?”

I Don’t Think So!

And offer the following stratagems to be implemented simultaneously:

Starve The Beast To Death by preaching good tidings unto the meek, binding up the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty to the captives, giving sight to the blind, opening the doors of prison to them that are bound and hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. This will take away the abortion industry’s customer base from the ground up. (Isaiah 61; Luke 4:18,19; Jude 23).
Drive A Stake Through The Heart Of The Beast by understanding the love of money is the root of all evil, confessing we cannot serve two (2) masters at the same time and as citizens of this great republic, holding our elected representatives accountable in the voting booth. This will defund the abortion industry at every level. (1st Timothy 6:10; Luke 6:13; Jude 11)
Cut Off The Head Of The Beast by renewing our commitment to Christ and His Word, without apology and without exceptions and biblically defining the term person. This will at once, for the first time and for all time, secure the civil rights of pre-born children at every level of law in the land. (1st Samuel 17:51; Psalms 22:9,10; Galatians 1:15)

Brothers, we really need to talk.

Transhumanism

Transhumanism

TransHumanismTranshumanism is a movement supporting the use of science and technology to improve human mental and physical characteristics and capacities. Transhumanism regards aspects of the human condition, such as disability, suffering, disease, aging, and involuntary death as unnecessary and undesirable. Transhumanists debate and challenge the moral limits of “humanenhancementtechnologies,” viewing biotechnologies and other emerging technologies as evolutionary forces with the capacity to change “human nature” itself. 1

Transhumanism Versus Personhood

Transhumanism purports Personhood or in “transhumanistic terms,” individual ontological identity, occurs after successful implantation in the mother’s womb. If one accepts the viewpoint that Personhood begins after implantation, Person Not Equal Humanthen taking abortifacients to prevent an embryo from implanting in his or her mother’s womb is morally acceptable. As is encouraging infertile couples with defective gametes to adopt already manufactured IVF (i.e., In Vitro Fertilized) Embryos that will be discarded is a laudable objective and an unmitigated good. And using embryonic stem cells to seek cures (i.e., creating human embryos for research “parts” or “diagnostic specimens”) becomes a worthy means of fulfilling the biblical mandate to heal the sick. 2

Transhumanism Versus Christianity

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — Jesus Christ (John 8:32, KJV)

Human PlusTranshumanism (i.e., human+) is another battle in the “Long War Against God“. In the Protestant Church, Billy Graham’s Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism (LCWE) “Occasional Paper No. 58” stands firmly against Transhumanism. 3 In the Catholic Church, the Vatican’s Dignitas Personae (The Dignity of a Person) likewise stands firmly against Transhumanism. 4 In my opinion, the Apostle Paul helps us understand the heart of the matter in Romans 1:21,22 (KJV) when he says: “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [And] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”

Transhumanism Versus We The People

We The PeopleThere is no question where the Lausanne Committee or Pope Benedict XVI are standing on the subject of Transhumanism. Both agree that all humans, at every stage of development, bear the image of God and should be protected by love and by law. Both stand boldly and firmly against Transhumanism. However, the question is: What about the rest of us? Where do we stand on this issue? Does every human life have equal moral value simply and merely because it is human? 5 Are we willing to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints?” 6 Could it be that abortion is still legal and the needs of women and children are yet unmet because “We The People” have allowed the terrible and tantalizing temptation of tidings such as “her choice”, “right to privacy” and “exceptions” to transcend our biblical values and with ease facilitate our transfer into the traitorous and treacherous twilight of Transhumanism? Caveat emptor is Latin for “Let the buyer beware.”

Brothers, we really need to talk.

True or False Tests

“The statesman cannot govern without stability of belief, true or false.” — George Bernard Shaw

True Of FalseA “True or False” (tro͞oˈfôlsˈ) test consists of a series of statements to be identified as either “true” or “false”. “True or False” tests present an exclusive disjunction (i.e., a pair of alternatives of which only one is acceptable). A simple way to state this is: “One or the other but not both“. Usually there are more true answers than false on most tests. Finally, since there is no guessing penalty and you have a 50% chance of getting the right answer, feel free to guess.

This is part three (3) of a three (3) part series of True or False tests. Each test contains statements for your consideration. Many thanks goes to David Barton of Wallbuilders for his scholarly work.

Statement #1

The same state that saw Medgar Wiley Evers (July 2, 1925 — June 12, 1963), James Earl “J.E.” Chaney (May 30, 1943 — June 21, 1964) and Emmett Louis “Bobo” Till (July 25, 1941 — August 28, 1955) murdered, witnessed the election of a Black American senator, Hiram Revels of Mississippi, and several members of the House from the South during Reconstruction. After a brief period of Republican control in the South which saw major improvements in the lives of Black Americans, Southern states instituted new laws with the goal of eliminating Black political activity.

From the left to the right, Senator Hiram Rhodes Revels, from Mississippi and an ordained minister. Next was Representative Benjamin Turner, of Alabama. Turner was a slave during the Civil War but five (5) years afterward was a wealthy businessman. Third and standing up was Representative Robert De Large of South Carolina. De Large was born a slave but three (3) years afterward was chairing the Republican Party’s Platform Committee. Fourth and sitting was Representative Josiah Walls of Florida, a slave during the Civil War and forced to fight for the Confederacy. In 1862 Walls was captured by the Union army and voluntarily joined. In 1862 he rose to rank of corporal. Fifth and standing was Representative Jefferson Franklin Long of Georgia. Born a slave, but was self educated and built a thriving business. Long became the first Black American to deliver a congressional speech in the U.S. House. Sixth and sitting was Representative Joseph Hayne Rainey of South Carolina. Born a slave, but served as Speaker of the U.S. House and was in Congress longer than any other Black American from that era. Seventh and sitting was Representative Robert Brown Elliott also of South Carolina. Well educated and could read Spanish, French, and Latin. Elliott led the passage of the Civil Rights bills against vehement opposition from the Democrats and later became Speaker of the House in the State legislature. 1

“History is the only laboratory we have in which to test the consequences of thought.” — Étienne Gilson

True Box CheckedAn 1870 Cleveland Newspaper documented the attempt by Democrats to prevent Hiram Rhodes Revels from taking his seat4 Here is a quote from that newspaper: “[T]he business relative to the credentials of Mr. Revels as Senator from Mississippi was taken up. The debate which followed assumed a wide range of political questions.

Hiram Rhodes RevelsHon. Hiram Rhodes Revels

At 4:40 o’clock, a vote was taken and upon the motion of Mr. Stockton [a Democratic Senator from New Jersey] to refer the credentials of Mr. Revels to the judiciary committee.” So what happened? The vote was forty-eight (48) to eight (8) in favor of Mr. Revels. All forty-eight (48) Republicans said that Mr. Revels had the right credentials to serve in the Senate. All eight (8) Democrats said he did not. After a Senate Committee investigation, Mr. Revels’ credentials were easily established and he became a proud member of the U.S. Senate from February 23rd, 1870 to March 3, 1871. 5

Hmmmmmm …

Mr. Revels’ credentials could easily be established …

Statement #1

Dred ScottDred Scott

Dred Scott was born a slave in Virginia. In 1832, after following his owners to Missouri, U.S. Army Major John Emerson, stationed just outside of St. Louis, purchased Scott. In an April 1846 action when Dred Scott made his mark with an “X,” signing his petition in a pro forma freedom suit under Missouri law, to sue for freedom in the St. Louis Circuit Court, his case lit a fire that would not be extinguished until the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863.

Dred Scott, a man of color, respectfully states:
He is claimed as a slave
.”
(Petition to Sue for Freedom, 6 April 1846) 1

In 1857, the Democratically controlled United States Supreme Court decided the Dred Scott Decision. Here is a quote from that decision announcing that Negroes (i.e., Black Americans) …

“had no rights which the white man was bound to respect;
and that the Negro might justly and lawfully
be reduced to slavery for his benefit.”
 2

While the Supreme Court has never reversed the Dred Scott case, the Supreme Court has stated in the Slaughter-House Cases of 1873 that the Fourteenth Amendment overruled at least one part of it in 1868. 3

Harriet ScottHarriet Scott

In 1860, the Republican Party Platform boldly condemned the Fugitive Slave Law and the Dred Scott decision and announced its intent to end slavery and secure equal and civil rights for Black Americans4 In 1865, attorney Charles Drake, a leader of the Radical Republican Party after the Civil War helped author Missouri’s state constitution that took away many of the rights, including enfranchisement, enjoyed by Southern sympathizers. 5

John Hossack Speech on the Fugitive Slave LawJohn Hossack

In 1860 the Democratic Party Platform boldly supported the Fugitive Slave Law and the Dred Scott decision and in an effort to affirm their belief that it was their right to have and hold Black Americans in bondage, proudly distributed copies of the Dred Scott ruling with their party platform. 6 According to the speech of John Hossack, (who was convicted of violating the Fugitive Slave Law), while standing before Judge Drummond, of the United States District Court of Chicago, “the parties who prostituted the constitution to the support of slavery, are traitors.” 7

We Cannot Escape History 8

“History is the only laboratory we have in which to test the consequences of thought.” — Étienne Gilson

True Box CheckedAccording to David Barton, “it is worth noting that for over a century-and-a-half, Democrats often have taken a position that some human life is disposable — as they did in the Dred Scott decision. In that instance, a Black individual was not a life, it was property; and an individual could do with his property as he wished. Today Democrats have largely taken the same position on the unborn human life — that an unborn human is disposable property to do with as one wishes.” 9 Even our Supreme Court has mentioned its own Pro-Slavery Dred Scott Decision fifty-six (56) times over more than 150 years since issuing their opinion that Black Americans could be owned as property. 10

I would have thought the United States Supreme Court would be ashamed to even acknowledge, let alone mention, its own ignominious “Dred Scott Decision” in public. However, I would have also thought that Black Americans would never join the party of the Ku Klux Klan. 11,12 If Marcia Cavell is right and “hope is the other side of history, I fear that neither the Republican nor the Democratic Parties are on the right side of this equation.

In 1856, the Republican Party engaged in its first Presidential Election, running Republican John C. Fremont against Democrat James Buchanan. During this election, the Republican Party crafted and submitted its first ever party platform. The Republican Party Platform contained only nine (9) planks. Six (6) of the nine (9) planks were bold declarations of Equality and Civil Rights for Black Americans based on a literal interpretation of the Declaration of Independence. [1] The Republican Party Slogan was “Free Speech, Free Press, Free soil, Free Men, Fremont and Victory!”

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania!

In 1856, the Democratic Party Platform took the entirely opposite position, defending slavery with the following warning:

“All effort of the abolitionists … are calculated to lead to the most alarming and dangerous consequences and all such efforts have an inevitable tendency to diminish the happiness of the people.” [2]

The Democratic Party Platform supported the Kansas-Nebraska Act, pro-slavery territorial legislation and opposed free-state laws everywhere, including the Topeka Constitution of 1855 that banned slavery in Kansas. The Democratic Party Slogan was “An apple a day keeps the federalists away! Because the republicans farmed and the federalists like to make factories.”

We Cannot Escape History [3]

“History is the only laboratory we have in which to test the consequences of thought.” — Étienne Gilson

True Box CheckedLike Antebellum (Literally, Latin for “before the war”) Slavers of the past believed the efforts of Abolitionists would “diminish the happiness of the people”, todays Democratic Party Platform, “strongly and unequivocally supports abortion,” even after viability (i.e., a point in the development of the child at which the baby may survive outside the womb), believing abortion is necessary to protect the rights, health and “well-being” of women[4] When considering the current platforms of both the Republican and Democratic parties, I am not at all convinced, that either party has benefited from the lessons of their own history. If George Santayana is right when he says, “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” [5] then it appears both parties are on a collision course to repeat the blood bought lessons of history.
