The Negro Project (1939-1942)

The Negro Project (1939-1942)

According to Planned Parenthood, the American Birth Control League and the Clinical Research Bureau (CRB) merge to form the Birth Control Federation of America. The federation’s outreach to the African-American community moves to the rural South. W.E.B. DuBois serves on the advisory council for the “Negro Project,” which is designed and financed by Sanger but is quickly taken over by county and state health departments. In 1939, the “Negro Project” was designed in response to “southern state public health officials,” men not generally known for racial equality. The proposal went on to say that “Public Health statistics merely hint at the primitive state of civilization in which most Negroes in the South live” (Linda Gordon, Woman’s Body, Woman’s Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, New York: Penguin, 1974, pp. 332.). Apparently, government backed health care for the poor that includes birth control is not a new idea nor is it a “change” in direction.

Indifferent to the Real Needs of the Black Community

Strongly moved and financially supported by the eugenics movement and the United States Government’s progressive welfare programs of the New Deal era, the Negro Project was from the start entirely indifferent to the real needs of the black community (i.e., equal access to education, jobs and the American dream). According to Margaret Sanger who instigated the Negro Project: “The mass of Negroes,” the project proposal asserted, “particularly in the South, still breed carelessly and disastrously, with the result that the increase among Negroes, even more than Whites, is from that portion of the population least intelligent and fit.” From Sanger’s perspective the Negro Project was an effort to help Negroes gain access to safe contraception and maintain birth control services in their community (Margaret Sanger to Mary Lasker, July 10, 1939, Mary Lasker Papers, Columbia University). Hmmm … “help Negroes gain access to safe contraception and maintain birth control services in their community” sounds so familiar to me. I wonder where I have heard this before?

Supported By Prominent Black Leadership

The Negro Project was widely supported by black leaders such as Mary McLeod Bethune, W. E. B. DuBois, and the Rev. Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Recruiting the support of Black leadership was in fact a part of Margaret Sanger’s plan. Sanger needed the buy-in of the Black leaders to legitimize her project and silence the voices of other Black men and women who stood up and spoke up in opposition to Sanger’s stated goals for birth control. According to Margaret Sanger “birth control appeals to the advanced radical because it is calculated to undermine the authority of the Christian Churches” (Quoted in David Goldstein, Suicide Bent: Sangerizing America, St. Paul: Radio Replies Press, 1945, p. 103.). Next week I’ll talk more about Black leadership’s involvement in the Negro Project.

Brothers, we really need to talk.

Margaret Sanger In Her Own Words

Margaret Sanger

Margaret Higgins Sanger Slee (September 14, 1879 – September 6, 1966) was an American birth control activist, advocate of eugenics, and the founder of the American Birth Control League. In June 1928, Margaret Higgins Sanger resigned as president of the American Birth Control League, founding the National Committee for Federal Legislation on Birth Control and splitting the Birth Control Clinical Research Bureau from the League. In 1939 the two were reconciled and merged to form the Birth Control Federation of America. In 1937 Sanger became chairperson of the Birth Control Council of America and launched two publications, The Birth Control Review and The Birth Control News. From 1939 to 1942 she was an honorary delegate of the Birth Control Federation of America, which included a supervisory role with the Negro Project. In 1942 the name was changed to Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Margaret Sanger In Her Own Words

Abortion: “…the most merciful thing a large family can do to one of its infant members is to kill it.” (Sanger, Margaret, “Women and the New Race” (New York: Brentano’s, 1920. Reprint. Geo. W. Halter, 1928), p.67)”
Eugenics: “Fostering the good-for-nothing at the expense of the good is an extreme cruelty…there is no greater curse to posterity than that of bequeathing them [i.e., future generations] an increasing population of imbeciles,” She [was speaking] of the burden of caring for “this dead weight of human waste.” (Michael Crichton, State of Fear, Avon Books: An Imprint of Harper Collins Publishers, Copyright 2004, Appendix I, page 633.)
Promiscuity:“Tells her sixteen (16) year old granddaughter that kissing, petting and even intercourse were fine as long as she was ‘sincere,’ and that having sex about ‘three (3) times a day’ was ‘just about right.'” (Gray, Madeline, Sanger, Margaret: “A Biography of the Champion of Birth Control” (NY: Richard Marek Publishers, 1979), pp, 227-8.)
Religion:Birth control appeals to the advanced radical because it is calculated to undermine the authority of the Christian Churches. I look forward to seeing humanity free someday of the tyranny of Christianity no less than Capitalism.” (Quoted in David Goldstein, Suicide Bent: Sangerizing America, St. Paul: Radio Replies Press, 1945, p. 103.)

Silence is a Form of Tacit Consent

Anyone who reads George Grant’s “Grand Illusions” published by Wolgemuth and Hayatt, Publishers, Inc. Brentwood Tennessee, in 1988 or other exposés of Planned Parenthood will come to know that Margaret Sanger was an open eugenicist who consorted with German Nazis and advocated a creeping genocide of races she felt to be inferior through promotion of “birth control,” “abortion,” and “family planning”. In Planned Parenthood’s Annual Report in 1985 their slogan was: “Proud of Our Past – Planning the Future.” (Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, Annual Report, 1985.). Planned Parenthood is not our future nor our friend. Christ is our future and our friend. Christ came that we might have life and have it abundantly. Christ boldly promotes the sanctity of life. As watchmen on the wall, it is time we stop tacitly approving evil by our silence. The lives of our people depend on it.

Spurious Scientific Terms

Spurious Scientific Terms

Earlier this year a South Korean Court ruled that frozen “human” embryos are in fact “not human.” Ignoring the pleas of the parents, the South Korean court has ruled that frozen human embryos are not human and as such may be experimented upon and destroyed at will. One has to wonder, how is this possible? Well, since you asked. The term “pre-embryo” introduced decades ago by Richard McCormick and frog embryologist Clifford Grobstein cleared the way. Dr. Dianne Irving, a former career-appointed bench research biochemist/biologist (NIH, NCI, Bethesda, MD), an M.A. and Ph.D. philosopher (Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.), and Professor of the History of Philosophy, and of Medical Ethics laments and says: “One has to wonder how many zillions of innocent living human beings have been intentionally killed and disaggregated ‘before 14 days’ after fertilization for ‘the greater good’ by means of appeals to the fraudulent erroneous term “pre-embryo.”

Genocidal Assault on Embryonic Persons

It seems that scientists, physicians, especially in vitro fertilization (IVF) and assisted reproductive technology (ART) doctors and researchers, along with all manner of legislative bodies and courts can simply make up their “science” and “medicine” as they go along, regardless of the objective scientific truth. According to Dr. Irving, “for over 30 years these fraudulent scientific claims have been well tolerated by everyone, so there is now no need for scientific integrity or scientific honesty. Who cares if there is no such thing as a “pre-embryo”? Who cares if the fake term was formally refuted by the international experts in this field (i.e., human embryologists) as false and unscientific decades ago by the international nomenclature committee on human embryology?”

Product of a Human Father and a Human Mother

It has been known for over 120 years that the immediate product of fertilization is a new living human being. This internationally accepted objective scientific fact was institutionalized way back in 1942 with the Carnegie Stages of Early Human Embryonic Development that has been updated every 4 to 5 years since. As we battle the culture of death’s attack on our minds, I wonder how prepared are we as leaders to help our people deflect sick and supposititious science terms in light of biblical truth? Internationally accepted objective scientific facts will always agree with biblical truth. After all, what else could the product of a human father and human mother be?

Infertility, Industry and Income

Infertility, Industry and Income

According to the Center for Bioethics and Culture (CBC) the infertility industry in the United States has grown to a multi-billion dollar business. And Human eggs are it’s main commodity. Young women all over the world are solicited by multimedia ads via college campus bulletin boards, social media networks, online classifieds offering up to $100,000 for their “donated” eggs. The ads imply the eggs are needed to “help make someone’s dream come true.”

Who Is Asking The Right Questions?

Jennifer Lahl, R.N., M.A., National Director for the Center for Bioethics and Culture (CBC) is asking the right questions: Who is this egg donor? Is she treated justly? What are the short-term and long-term risks to her health? The CBC’s DVD “Eggsploitation” answers these questions and closely examines the booming business of human eggs told through the tragic and soul searching stories of real women who became involved with the infertility industry and whose lives have been changed forever. I highly recommend every leader incorporate CBC’s “Lines That Divide, 2009” DVD and “Eggsploitation, 2010” DVD into their personal collection.

Facing Immoral Medical Malpractices

The Center for Bioethics and Culture (CBC) works hard to help us understand the bioethical issues that impact our humanity, especially among the most vulnerable. Unfortunately, science and medicine does not always apply “human-life-affirming” standards to their work. As we face immoral medical malpractices such as abortion, embryonic stem cell research and assisted suicide it is clear that not all scientific advancement qualifies as human advancement. As watchmen on the wall, we bear the responsibility of warning our people of impending danger. Is our rams horn blowing loud and clear? Are our people prepared to fight back the evil advances of Ba’al inspired bioethics and modern Molech medicine?

Brothers, we really need to talk.

Where Is The Recall Of Abortion?

In Abortion on August 2, 2010 at 12:01 am

32 Infant Deaths Since 2000

Cribs with a side rail that moves up and down so parents can lift children from them more easily will be banned under legislation aimed at reducing infant deaths. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (, drop-side cribs have caused 32 infant deaths in America since 2000. Fourteen (14) other fatalities could be related to drop-side cribs but investigators lacked information to make a clear link. All together that comes to 4.6 priceless and irreplaceable infant lives lost per year. Late Monday, May 24th of this year Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., introduced a bill to outlaw the sale and manufacture of the cribs. “There have been few too many recalls and far too many deaths from defective cribs in recent years,” said Inez Tenenbaum, chair of the safety commission. I too am concerned. The safety of our children is important. Forty-six (46) infant deaths is 46 infant deaths too many.

1.21 Million Aborted Children Each Year.

According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI), from 1973 through 2005, more than 45 million legal abortions occurred. Over 32 years that averages out to be 1.41 million aborted children each year. For example in 2005, 1.21 million children were aborted, which is down from 1.31 million aborted children in 2000. The most common induced abortion (IA) method in the United States of America is vacuum aspiration (“suction”). According to Rooney, Calhoun and Roche (, vacuum aspiration abortions (VAA) have never been proven safe in animal studies and are a violation of the Nuremberg Code of ethics on human research and experimentation. Again, Rooney reports, “at a minimum, consent forms for surgical abortions should inform patients of this risk.”

I too am concerned. The safety of our children is important. Considering 2005 alone, 1.21 million aborted children (i.e., deaths) is 1.21 million aborted children (i.e., deaths) too many. In my neighborhood alone (i.e., Black America), abortion takes the lives of forty-six (46) babies in less than an hour, every hour of every day. However, if we continue to do the math, every twenty (20) minutes abortion takes the lives of forty-six (46) babies nation wide.

Where Is The Recall Of Abortion?

It is clear that abortion takes the life of an innocent human being. Modern medical science overwhelmingly supports “personhood” (i.e., the fact that the life of every human being begins at the beginning of his/her biological development). Let’s remove the politically charged rhetoric of the “life” debate and replace it with the commonsense scientific principle that life begins at each human being’s biological development, that “Momma is pregnant with child.” We should be concerned that 32 infants have died in cribs since 2000. Moreover, we ought to be outraged that abortion, deliberately, legally and with taxpayer dollars, puts to death 1.21 million children every year. Where is the outrage? Where is the recall of abortion and the recall of every leader that supports it?

Brothers, we really need to talk.
